Some News From Rutgers Day

The Busch campus had a lot of action with the annual Scarlet-White inter-scrimmage football game, plus everything from rock climbing to Segway rides. The Rutgers Formula Racing team proved popular with young boys by showing and driving their Formula-1 inspired cars made by Rutgers students.
"Kids love it," said Jon DiFabio, project manager of the team. "They love sitting in the cars and the gear heads love talking about the cars, too."

Back From Michigan

Hard work and dedication throughout the past year finally paid off last week, when Rutgers Formula Racing joined over 100 college teams from around the world in competition at Michigan International Speedway. Eighteen team members and several alumni left the RFR shop in Piscataway, New Jersey on Tuesday morning, headed for the rolling countryside of southeast Michigan in anticipation of what the next few days would bring.

With a relatively new group of team members (this was our first real major event together), the competition was a constant learning experience for everyone involved. Nearly 8 months had gone by since the first boxes of parts and materials arrived at our shop. Now it was time to put our skill and teamwork to the test.

Making it to this milestone would not have been possible for Rutgers Formula Racing without its sponsors' help and support. The enthusiasm and commitment of our team members and benefactors is what put the 2010 car on the track in Michigan.
